Get paid 4 euros a day for cycling to work

Apologies for the misleading title, all I found is that if you bike to work at least 3 times a week for 14 months, you can keep that 700 euros worth bike, in the Dutch Harderwijk, during the local road works.
Cycling might be considered a hippie thing, but not in Holland: the rationale behind the campaign is that a shuttle bus service would have been a lot more expensive.

Actually, it’s more interesting than that. Initially I worked here only as a self employed person, so I had no idea what I had to look forward to if I worked for someone else. I now work three days a week for another company. I’m paid 19 cents per kilometre for my efforts in cycling to work. My commute is a 61 km round trip, so it’s worth somewhat more than double four euros per day.
